Training Specialist
Missy Berglund came to the Butler Institute for Families at University of Denver as a training specialist for the Colorado Child Welfare Training Academy. Prior to her position at Butler, she worked at the Arapahoe County Department of Human Services for seven years, both as a child protection permanency worker in the teen parent team and as a child protection intake caseworker. While in intake, she spent two years as a family assessment response worker. Missy holds a Bachelor of the Arts in Humanities from Fort Lewis College. Missy is highly recognized for her skills in differential response and family engagement. Missy has previously trained differential response family engagement tools both in Colorado and nationally.
