About the New Worker Training Academy:
The New Worker Training Academy was designed as a training program for newly hired child welfare caseworkers. The Academy consists of seven Modules held over seven consecutive weeks. A new caseworker goes through the Academy immediately after being hired and is not allowed to begin practicing as a child welfare caseworker until all seven Modules have been successfully completed. Prior to beginning training, each worker is assigned to a Cohort group. This Cohort group then attends all seven Modules of the Academy together.
