Course Description:
Child welfare work continually strains our ability to feel compassion for, and engage clients in, a consistent and warm manner, despite our commitment and enthusiasm for helping children and families.
You and your staff face the most challenging situations, confront anger every day, and often feel beleaguered by the hectic pace of heavy workloads.
As a supervisor, this course addresses how you can maintain your own sanity, and buoy your caseworkers in this environment.
This one-day training provides important knowledge and skills to help you and your caseworkers manage the very real compassion fatigue experienced in this profession.
